One of the most famous technology wars today is happening between two mobile phone giants Samsung and Apple. With the recent release of Apple’s much-awaited iPhone 4s, it will be in direct competition to Samsung’s Galaxy SII. This article helps readers and techies to weigh the pros and cons of buying either unit.

In terms of weight, the iPhone is surprisingly bulkier, at 115.2 x 58.6 x 9.3 mm with a weight of 140 grams, if compared to Samsung’s Galaxy SII which just weighs 116 grams, with a size of 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5 mm.

The operating system of Samsung’s Galaxy S II consists of Android 2.3 Gingerbread while the 4S uses the iOS 5 operating system. Users may find the Gingerbread a little stale yet more user-friendly. However, those from the younger generation are more likely to appreciate the iPhone’s new Siri application. On the other hand, those who are looking for excellent camera phones will find the Galaxy SII’s 2MP front facing camera better than the iPhone’s VGA camera feature.

When it comes to costs, Samsung Galaxy SII is definitely cheaper than the iPhone 4s, with units going for as low as $ 199 to $ 229, while an Apple iPhone can cost as much as $399 per unit. Keep in mind however that the price of the iPhone is liable to decrease as the unit grows older in the market.

In the final analysis, the choice between the iPhone4s and Samsung Galaxy SII relies heavily on the personal preferences, needs and budget of the prospective user. If you are enticed to by Samsung Galaxy SII, browse through samsung galaxy nz or other online stores to make the purchase. Meanwhile, iphone 4s fanatics can also do their shopping online or they can visit cellphone shops to get their hands on this very popular gadgetry of today.

Buddhism is an intriguing religion that has lived over the years. Like any other religions, Buddhism is largely influenced by traditions of different sorts. From meditations, reincarnations, Buddha and sutras, Buddhism is given importance by people who believe in it. But what lies behind this fascinating mix of religion and tradition?

Reincarnation is the fundamental belief in Buddhism. Buddhists believe that people are reborn after they die. And they go through several cycles of being born again, living, dying and rebirth. Rebirth is somewhat different form reincarnation. In reincarnation, the cycle can go on and on, but in rebirth a person does not necessarily return to Earth as the same being again. Understanding Buddhist beliefs is not as easy as choosing a policy from Sovereign Insurance and in-depth studying of the religion might require you to take up formal classes.

There are also various sutras that Buddhist people live by to learn. It has been said that the Lotus Sutra is the foremost of all. This sutra was created over 500 years ago and it has been said that this was Buddha’s lesson in the latter years of life. Buddhism also encompasses Buddha’s four noble truths that explore the suffering of humans. Dukkha means suffering exists, it is real and universal. Samudaya translates to there is a cause for every suffering. It means the desire to have and control things. Nirodha means that there is an end to suffering. The suffering ceases when a person reaches the stage of Nirvana, the final liberation. And Magga translates to in order to end suffering; the eightfold path must be followed. While learning about the Buddhist religion may not be as simple as acquiring a life insurance, getting to know more about the teachings of Buddha should not be that difficult either. That is, if you really believe in what Buddhism is really all about.

Are you thinking about applying for a mortgage? If so, then a mortgage checklist will help you ease up the complex process of mortgage application. In that regard, below is a checklist that will help first time mortgage borrowers to obtain the funds they need to finance their new home.

Carefully assess your home credit limit. Before you jump into home acquisition, it would be smart to determine how much your mortgage limit is. You can do this by listing all the expenses you currently have, while also including your potential expenses. You can use an online calculator to help you calculate your debt to income ratio and also to estimate your expected monthly payment.

Look into your credit score. Remember that your credit history will play a big role in getting your home loan approved.

Decide what type of mortgage loan you should get. It would be best if you are already certain on the type of mortgage loan you want to apply for before beginning your house hunting.

Select a lender to get the loan from. Choose a reputable lender that can close the loan quickly so you can ensure that you will get the home that you want to buy.

Get your home loan pre-approved.

Lock in your offer while the mortgage rate is still low.

Comply with all the documentations needed for loan application to increase the chance of approval. Make sure to submit all the documents asked by the lender so your application can be processed as soon as possible.

Hinduism is the indigenous and predominant religious tradition in India. Many variations of this religion have developed in the past decades and a number of non-Hindu religious movements gained inspiration from it. Experts say it is difficult to assign orthodoxy to Hinduism.

The caste system is one of the oldest aspects of Hinduism. It is important to learn about the caste system before a person can fully understand Hindu’s religious beliefs. There are four basic castes or social classes according to Hindu teaching—the elite caste known as the Brahman; Kshatriyas or the rulers and warriors; the Vaisyas or the farmers and merchants and the Shudras or laborers. Each caste has its own obligations and rules. Those outside the caste system are called the untouchables.

Here are the principles that Hindus believe in:

Brahman, the three-in-one god is composed of Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Preserver and Shiva the Destroyer.

The law of Karma- “Good begets good and bad begets bad”.

Reincarnation or the transmigration of souls (samsara). A journey on the circle of life where a person experiences a series of physical births, deaths and rebirth to another life.

Nirvana, the goal of the Hindu. This is the release of the soul from the endless cycle of rebirths.

Learning about Hinduism requires one to conduct their own research, just like what you’ll normally do when selecting phlebotomy training classes. The information presented in this article, however, can give you an idea about Hinduism beliefs.

Do you love numbers? Some people just seem to click with any type of calculation, whether you love adding up or algebra, if you’ve got the mathematician’s gift, you should definitely be using it!

Consider Career Choices

First, look at what type of career you’d like to do. From working in accounts to teaching math, there is a wide range of jobs that will use plenty of other skills, as well as an ability (and love) for numbers. Being happy at work is very important, so consider which roles you’d like to try, and discount any which aren’t your thing.

Get Experience

Before you change careers or undergo training, it’s wise to get an experience doing the type of work you’ve chosen. Remember that different companies have different work ethics and atmospheres, so arrange your experience with a few local firms and get involved with what day-to-day life in that job is really about. Take the opportunity to show off your own skills, and talk to employees about the job–inside knowledge can be invaluable. Once you’ve finished at each workplace, hand your resume and a cover letter explaining your intentions to be a part of a certain company Who knows, you might find the company needs some new staff.

Look at Training

Some jobs will require more than just a love for numbers, so you might need to consider entering education. Depending on the course you’ve chosen, you may need to attend a full- or part-time course, distance learn at home or learn on the job at work. Make sure you research each option, including the financial implications, carefully. Institutions like the Open University can offer student loans and grants, or you might find learning on-the-job will be paid for by your employer. However, you’ll need to contract to working for them for a specific amount of time, or you’ll owe the training costs back to them.

Get Expert Help

Whether you are looking for jobs in your area or simply want to talk about the finance industry, benefits and salary, there are several finance recruitment companies that can often offer an expert help with getting yourself on the road to your new career. Make an appointment to discuss your future, and take along your résumé, cover letter and a note of your existing qualifications to get the most from your session.

Talk to Friends and Family

You’d be surprised how having connections can help, so talk to people close to you about your aims and find out if anyone has any suggestions from companies they’ve noticed recruiting to those they recommend avoiding, the support and information you get from your peers could be second-to-none.

Thursday morning, before school, my family had an interesting conversation at breakfast. My son tells me that he wants to be a champion boomerang thrower. Is there such a thing? Well, if there is a trophy for throwing something, I guess he’s practised enough since birth. What does it take to be the champion? You throw it, and it does what it’s designed to do, come back to you, what skill does that take?Welcome to my family. Thursday was the third morning of the new school year, and we are still organized so far. Third morning, and I still am doing a ‘full’ breakfast, with two kids actually sitting at a table, using silverware, and talking, about boomerangs. With school started, I spend my evening after supper, making sure everyone has school clothes laid out and only need jump to up and into them tomorrow morning. Now, I am looking up “boomerang, throwing, and boomerang competition.Every mother wants to the be the encouraging type, but why doesn’t Andy want to be a champion tennis player? Little league I could get into, we go to games, and just about EVERY mother, and father even, are there. Get togethers that we haven’t had to put any effort into, and a social life that will build relationships for all of us. But who goes to Boomerang games? Are there games? Will there be other mothers, sitting on bleachers, trying to converse while struggling to keep little ones from wandering into the “boomerang dugout”.Boomerang, “flying, curved tool used as a weapon or for sport”. So, it’s a sport, but it’s a weapon too, scary. By the time I am through reading about boomerangs, I have found out there are competitions, and it can be a team sport. I still wonder where Andy got such a dream. Amanda, sleeping peacefully, is carried off to bed, and I, too, go off capture my night of sleep.Saturday, I take the family to the park, with, you guessed it, a brand new boomerang. We spend the morning practising throwing the special sporting equipment, and I must say, the greatest thing about boomerang throwing is, no other equipment needed. From I managed to find out, as we read more about the sport of boomerang throwing, the championship part may be in the catching, more than the throwing. One handed and two handed catches, catches under the leg, and catches behind your back. Wait until the boomerang gets near the ground, and kick it up to catch it. Trick catches is what is going to make Andy the Boomerang Champion. Watching him today, it may a few years before that trophy adorns the living room mantle.

Why do people give great importance to values? You don’t have to major in psychology in order to know the answer to this question. It is believed that values have a direct correlation to needs. In order to understand the importance of having values, one should first have to know its relationship to needs. Unlike animals that act on instinct, humans have the free will to choose how to respond to a particular situation. And the choices that we make are all based on the values that shaped our lives.

Basically, values are beliefs that we deem essential in life. Their primary function is to help us meet our needs. Abraham Maslow stated that humans have safety, social, physiological, self actualization and esteem needs. Maslow believes that as we attempt to satisfy our basic and high-level needs , these bring us to the dilemma of making a choice. For this reason, people are always faced with dilemmas that will likely affect their future. Remember that the decisions that you make in life will always have a direct effect on your future. That being said, you have to resolve life dilemmas basing on the values you believe in.

Values, in essence, shapes the way we think and respond to things or life circumstances. Every action is guided by one or more values, whether you may be aware of it or not. Maslow, in his studies, revealed that values can be classified in three types — defensive (unhealthy regression), coasting (healthy regression) and growth. People always have the desire to grow, and this is natural. But Maslow believed that we also need homeostatic values to achieve rest, peace and relaxation. Though more mature people typicall give bigger emphasis on growth values, coasting values are just as equally important. Defensive values, meanwhile, protect us from feeling pain, loss, fear and threat, but such type of values can greatly inhibit one’s growth.

In a general sense, values serve as our basis when setting priorities or resolving issues that we encounter as we live life. Our values essentially allow us to justify and explain our actions. That said, without our ability to formulate and act based on our values, living life in a human level is deemed non-existent. The values we learn and live by throughout life become our standard of importance and our voice of reason.

In conclusion, our values help us to make the right choices and come up with the best decisions in life. They are important in human development, since people continuously need to learn and grow, and they also allow us to remain fair and treat people equally without bias or prejudice. Values also help us to communicate more effectively in an honest and upright manner, which is essential for us to have a healthy social life. Most importantly, values give us the freedom to fulfill our responsibilities and make life decisions the way we see fit.

Beliefs, as defined in psychology, are representational state that play a specific role to the mind’s cognitive architecture. Along with one’s desires, beliefs offer casual explanations for our actions. So basically, having beliefs allow people to consitute a judgment to a certain or specific matter. The judgments we make have a direct effect on decision-making, behavior, as well as other beliefs. So, in essence, beliefs are basically memories that we formed and carried through life. However when ‘remember’ is used in relation to memories of non-representational sorts, beliefs are not necessarily involved. But if remembering is considered as a cognitive activity, then our beliefs will definitely play a much bigger role.

Depending on what type of memory is being used, our beliefs can either have a direct effect on them or none at all. For instance, episodic memory , in order for us to access it, will require a belief that is shaped from our memory. Meanwhile, semantic memory doesn’t require belief since we can state facts that we have learned in the past explicitly even without the conviction that we are right and therefore the act will be classified as a ‘semantic memory’.

Rememebering is an act wherein we access things or events that were held in our memory. In cognitive psychology, memory is classified into two types – implicit and explicit. Implicit memory systems are generally those that operate below one’s level of conscious awareness. Habituation is themost basic example of implicit memory, in which the body‘s system learns to adapt to environmental stimuli, like when one becomes oblivious to a noise in the background.

Explicit memory, on the other hand, needs an agent in order for one to be conscious of their own thoughts. Explicit memory can either be episodic or semantic. Episodic memory allows us to elicit emotions and other cross modal phenomenology. Meanwhile, semantic memory is basically the source of our general knowledge of the world.

Memories affect our beliefs in the same sense that our beliefs influence our memories. The experiences we learn in life allow us to form beliefs that we choose to live by and used as a basis when we make decisions or choices in life. The thoughts we held in our memory help shape and form our beliefs. Our beliefs make us who we are and represent what we stand for. Alternately, when we are engaged in the act of remembering our beliefs also come into play. Indeed, explaining the relation of memories to shaping our beliefs and vice versa is quite complex. Even psychologists argue differently about the matter and comprehensive research would be required for us to fully understand how memories directly influence our beliefs, so as with the ever growing debate on whether remembering would require belief or not.

The importance of family is in our lives can never be emphasized enough. They play a vital role in shaping our life, and we become who we are today because of them. Friends will come and go but family will stay with us forever. They are the only constant thing in our lives. Our family will always be there for us, through our ups and downs. And even if everyone has turned their back on you, family will be there to give you support and cheer you up.

Basically, the values we learned from childhood were taught to us by our parents. Therefore, the habits, characteristics and beliefs that we formed through life are learnings that our parents imparted on us. Knowing that, our family is definitely the most influential persons that guided us to discover the complexities of life.

Psychologists believe that what we become and how we behave largely depend on how we were brought up by our parents and how our siblings influenced us. In short, our family life has a direct effect on our personality. Your family is basically the foundation that will help you form other social relationships later in life. Though change may be inevitable and you will get to meet to new people as you grow old, the importance of family in your life will always remain the same.

A child who grew in a loving and happy family will form stronger social ties and will be able to see the world in a positive perspective. Meanwhile, a child from a broken family and a victim of abuse will see the world negatively and will likely have trust issues. Basing from these examples, family definitely has a great impact on human development.

What we become today also depends on how we were brought up. For instance, if you come from a rich family, then you will have access to better education that will allow you to excel in whatever career path you may choose to take. Meanwhile, those from a poor family will need to work doubly hard in order to reach their aspirations. However, socio-economic background does not necessarily affect one’s chance to succeed. What you learned while you were growing up will help you determine what goals to set and how to achieve them.

It is hard to imagine how much impact your family can bring to your life. But aside from shaping our future and personality, our family also serves as our protector. As much as possible, they would want to shield us against all sorts of sufferings. But since challenges and problems will always be a part of life, their unwavering support and unconditional love will allow us to overcome the hurdles that will come our way.

Changing the world does not happen overnight. In fact, it will take millions if not billions of people to work together in order to overcome the problems that the world is facing today. We help change the world by simply doing random acts of kindness. The small things you do to help others allow you to make the world a better place. Remember that change should begin within you. It would be hard for you to change the world if you are still battling with yourself. Once you have finally become contented with what you have, then that is the time that you can start changing the world for the better. Instead of always asking for more, we should be happy with less. Living life with a generous heart will allow us to feel better about ourselves while being able to do something for others.

So what should you do to help make the world better? One way for you to make a difference is by doing volunteer works. Instead of spending your weekend sitting at home watching tv the whole day, why not extend your help by volunteering in a local hospital, a community shelter, or a food bank. Supporting a good cause is truly a rewarding experience that you are sure to cherish forever. Be an advocate and help spread love in the world. You don’t have to be as rich as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in order to make a difference in the world. You can actually help making the world a better place in your own little way. For those with more money to spare, you can donate a portion of your earnings to a charity that you want to support.

Since environment degradation is a growing concern today, doing your part to save Mother Earth will surely go a long way. Instead of using your car to drive to work every day, riding a bike will also get you to your destination minus the pollution. In addition, biking is also a good form of exercise and since you spend most of the day sitting in front of your desk, riding a bike to and from work every day will not only help to lessen the pollution but will also allow you to stay fit. Though not owning a car in the city would be an inconvenience, it doesn’t mean that you have to drive everywhere using it.

Reducing your waste and recycling more will also help change the world for the better. Remember that recycling will impact the environment positively. The lesser waster we produce the better for the environment.

Inspire and influence others to start making a difference. Let them know about the struggles that the world is facing and how they can help to resolve these issues. By influencing them to do good there is a big chance that they will soon take actions for themselves. There are actually a lot of ways on how we can help make the world a better place and it is up to you how you would want to contribute.
